Evident what the outcome will be.
Usually the running mate is chosen through negotiations.
Kalonzo was talking of a Volcano erupting.This is coming to pass.

He should have insisted running mate is decision btw 3 principals

The man has been outwitted and outmanourved by Uhuru.

He aint getting that DPORK...from either Ruto or Raila.

Now what does he do? He has until may 2nd to register as independent candidate and run.

But Azimio wont break the news until 15th May.

So at that point - he either suck it up in Azimio or join Ruto in UDA.

If I was him - I would give Raila three days - 1st May - to pick him or not.

Then resign as Wiper candidate - and register as Independent Candidate on 2nd May deadline.

That should take him back to the market...now he can renegotiate with either of the teams.

But who knows - maybe Wiper can still present him as presidential candidate - they already filled a complain with registar regarding Azimio - so they can say it was never consumated.

Honestly this dude has been in politics for over 30 years. Why not just retire? What is it with Kenyans that just can't retire? Is they nothing else to do in that country besides village politics, 24/7? Africans need to start finding other ways of pre-occupying their brains after a certain period of time.  All these washed up political hacks just keep re-cycling themselves every 5 years. No wonder they are no new ideas.

Alfred Mutua did not hide what is going on in Azimio in the last interview. Everything written and signed in Azimio is meant to trap Kalonzo until after the elections. Looks like now the only left is to issue threats and huge smiles with DP. Nothing more. He is becoming toothless by the minute. What is true, though, is that a lot of kambas will vote for Ruto without reciprocity. They will be voting for strength Ruto oozes...nothing else!

It won't be the first time Kalonzo is playing such a stunt. In a past election he run off with the ODM 'key' under a party name he registered as ODM-Kenya. When Raila in a stroke of genius, bought the original ODM certificate from the mumeru who registered ODM, Kalonzo ended up with a paltry 8% at the poll. That is all Kalonzo ever bargains with. This time if he goes independent, he will drop to 4% which will be insignificant to save ruto from a routing.

It has been in the news today, in this moaning period. Kalonzo today was asked whether it was a mistake for him to accept the VP position after he had performed dismally in the 2007 election? His response apparently caught off guard by this question, is that ,"it was his democratic right to be VP". Is the best comeback from a politician that has been at it 30+ years?

Unlike Mdvd Kalonzo repeatedly says he does not have to be DPORK. This committee helps to explain to Kamba - how DPORK will be mere PORK assistant - while real job is for chief minister. Raila as BBI sponsor can credibly promise to have a PM... Ruto can only have a Duale after his tantrums and stiff opposition to BBI and Matiang'i.

Expect committee to propose Karua DPORK, Kalonzo chief minister. Professor Makau already has the memo - it just motions.

The initial coalition tantrums - were so that it becomes Azimio-OKA and the "win" saved Kalonzo face as real partner with Raila & Uhuru. You see him in Nairobi brokering line-up - basically Jubilee-Wiper forced ODM Tim to stand down.

Pundit if you waiting for Kalonzo to take your "advice" - (threaten to) run as independent  - utangoja kweli. Why can't Mdvd do the same - to be Ruto DPORK - or are you only concerned with Kalonzo welfare

Noone was played or cheated on BBI - Uhuru & Raila were very genuine. As far as Azimio & Kenyans are concerned Ruto sent Havi & GM to kill BBI in court. Raila can still credibly give Kalonzo PM and promise real power-sharing. Ruto can't.

Kalonzo is not being cheated - you see what you want to see. Kalonzo is in fight with Mutua, Ngilu, Kivutha - and want to lock Kamba. 3 or 4 legged stool in Azimio is Kamba affair... and the fight is in fact good for Raila.

Sijaona matharao ama shida yoyote in Azimio-Kamba. It Weta making such noises - while he has nothing to show for backing Ruto. With Sakaja in UDA Mdvd fool obviously been conned. Even Khalwale is UDA  - right there in Kakamega. The bimbo already settled for Yattani job - down from PORK.

Kalonzo has done better PR in Kamba than Mdvd in Luhya.
