Njamba - come I teach Kalenjin the savages
« on: April 08, 2022, 05:12:43 PM »
My father all his life carried a weapon - in his briefcase he wont miss a sword or just kiboko ile ya mbira - most Kalenjin like Maasai use to carry weapons to defend themselves. Typically a kalenjin carries a sword and a stick (of any type) - this a must for every man - you're though in MTC to make various types for various events - moi rungu is for talking - it's totally forbidden to point a person with you finger - so typically before speaking to people - you pick a rungu and speak - so incase you need to point or emphasis you do that. Kalenjin are savages - majority of people I know that died in their young age - for being beaten blue or knifed - if kalenjin fight with you - he will make sure he will break all you bones - ribcage - name it.  The average kalenjin of yore - is body is full of tatoos of wounds - people lead a really violent life.

Dont make a kalenjin want to finish you - for if he gets a chance - he will leave you half a dead or dead.

I remember my bro - he used to be proud and all that  insulting people when drunk - one day - they beat him -  the guy couldnt walk for three weeks...they broke his knees...he has not tasted alcohol since that night of 1993 - I think he saw Abraham.

Kalenjin will rarely attack you alone. They attack with his bakules - the guys who went to MTC - same seclusion hut during mtc - form lifelong fratenity. He will just tell his friend when they get you in a corner - Bakule this guy insulted me - you will see abraham that day. Bakule is institution in kalenjin land.

I have seen many police come and harass people - but one day - they maimed and disabled for life.

Seems like something men are deeply socialized to carry out. Kikuyus can't Match your violence. We are very weak and hate to fight. I guess when you are a farmer you have no time for violence

Kalenjin is built on the foundation thieving culture - that believe in raiding for cattle as only source of livehood. When I met my grandmother whether I am in school or in working - he just ask how the raid is - LUGET. For kalenjin knew no other way of making wealthy. You never hear that someone got wealthy from raising his cattle better. It was just the most successfully cattle thieves were rich, married many wifes, and were big guys.

Typical kalenjin born before 1980s - mwili yote ni alama tu - either from thorns or swords or name - scary sight :)

Kalenjin and Mursi of South Sudanase are probably one few tribes that believe 100% in cattle raiding as only source of livehood until recently. I think some Pokots still stuck there.

Raila makes a lot daft mistakes. He thinks the way he has a forgiving nature is how everyone else operates.

This is crazy. Is this across all kalenjin subtribes. This time ienya is not ready for a kalenjin govt. Once they get it will be chaos from day one for the next 30 years. No way kalenjins will leave power ever again after capturing it

All Kalenjin - believed in Luget/Raiding - as main source of livehood. The society extols cattle thieves and frown upon cowards. Cattle thieves with their wounds and tatoos were the ultimate men. The alpha male who worked with Laibons (medice-men) and grew very wealthy - married many wifes - and name it - from proceeds of war and raiding. Kalenjin also belive a stolen cow is more a blessing that one you got from calfing.

If you want to see the real savage look at the Murle (not mursi) of South Sudan. Murle are the closest to Kalenjin - culture and savgery.

Amongst Kalenjin - Nandis (Chemgwal) were most noted cattle thieves - stealing from everyone including kalenjin except kipsigis - because Kipisigs-Nandi were one people until 17th century. Obviously it's now few pokots still stuck at it - and few kipsigis in transmara.

The luhyas, Luos, gusii and other tribes near kalenjin suffered greatly during those years.

This is crazy. Is this across all kalenjin subtribes. This time ienya is not ready for a kalenjin govt. Once they get it will be chaos from day one for the next 30 years. No way kalenjins will leave power ever again after capturing it

Set kobor is ubiquitous kalenjin vision or mission or good tidding..it means may you succeed in your raid.Csttle raid are meticously planned. In MTC boys are trained to defend and attack..most of the attack happen at 3 am.. intelligence is gathered and the day of the raid the cattle thieves arrive early enough and wait until 3 am..once the cows are out..they driven like crazy..they inflict pain on a cow it has to run like crazy.. cutting their ears or inserting a stick inside their anus..the cow run like crazy. The roles are well defined..cowards drive the cows..the real guys remain at rear to kill anybody stupid enough to follow the cows..they do crazy manoureves after every kilometres to make sure cattle tracks are lost..cows can be driven in circles.. eventually taken through s small path..the warriors arrive in their home in morning..or don't arrive if bad luck happen..their friends will try to bring his sword home. The only possession kalenjin inherit is a arrows n bows..first born son..last born son the sword..the rest take arrows. We did the same for my father..after 40 days of burial n morning..the weapons are given out..the best bow and arrow is given to first born son..the sword to the last born son...others get arrows. The house roof is removed and replaced..

Most people think kalenjin weapons were imported.. kalenjin value the art of making the best weapon.. kalenjin bow is an art to admired.. made from well tendered leather that will never snap..the stick chosen from best tree....it will never snap.. even if bends 360 dehrees.. kalenjin are trained to make their weapon..and to make the best of it.You make weapons and give them to kihiis to practice except iron tools.Kalenjin bow or arrow or sword is work of art.Kalenjin spend his free time sharpening his sword until it's like razor blade..sharp n deadly.Kalenjin at war generally carry two of his best..two bows..two swords..two pockets of arrows..the best quivers from the best bird feathers..those birds are hunted because they produce the best feathers...you learn how meticously align the feathers so when you shot you cannot miss..you practice n compete shooting tiny things then moving thing..no way kalenjin warrior can miss a man...they can shoot a bull eyes...lots of training and getting beaten until you master it...
