Indeed violence would erupt if Ruto or Raila were touched.
This is NOT normal in a democracy - we have elevated these people to kings.
Gov should never encourage or normalize such violence.
Gov job is to normalize the fact that Raila or Ruto are normal citizens.
If they get assaulted - nothing out to happen.
Even if something will happen - gov should insist nothing happen as they work to make sure indeed nothing happens

You cannot give a stamp of approval to BAD THINGS - even if they are reality.

Police should never tell you dont pass there because there are thugs who will kill you.
Their job should be to ensure thugs do not take over like that.
And if they cannot - the best they can say is that area has hyenas and snakes - so avoid it.

Raila is just normal citizen

He is not and all Kenyans know he is not especially to Luo's. His death would spark chaos just like Ruto's death would spark chaos.

Maybe one day your dreams of a Kenyan Nelson Mandela will come true but as of today your dreams are not valid.

The hope in Kenya is that the present thug (uhuru muigai kenyatta) does not destroy the entire country as he leaves office and plunge it into civil war. The baseline hope is that he leaves it intact for the new thug (william samoei ruto) to take over without the loss of too many lives.
