Facts Indicated West's Possible Preparation for Aggression Against Belarus, Russia - Minsk
There were facts that pointed to the possible preparation of the West for aggression against Minsk and Moscow, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Tuesday.
The leader said that first, a group of troops was created allegedly to protect the borders from illegal crossing by migrants, and the Ukrainian armed forces launched an operation in order to prepare their troops for operations in the Belarusian direction. Then, the Metel-2022 exercise was launched in Ukraine and there was bias against Belarusian citizens moving to Ukraine, he added. "And all this against the backdrop of information hysteria, far-fetched accusations of preparing aggression on the part of Belarus. Taken together, all these facts clearly indicated the possible preparation of the West for aggression against Belarus and Russia," Lukashenko said, as quoted by the state-run Belta news agency.
