If MDVD managed to get 2Billion as the rumor mills assert then this is a good deal. He can spend way less than that on a fake presidential campaign and keep the rest.  He knew he was not going to win anyway and he can always try to make a deal for a certain position with whoever wins. I hear  Ouru and Rao literally laughed at his 2billion request and desperate Ruto is willing to pay.  If Ruto was ahead as Pundit assert every hour, he would not spend that kind of money on MDVD.  In 2013 when Mama Ngina spent that kind of money buying Ruto, it was worth every penny with the ICC looming. This is a bad deal for Ruto, great deal for MDVD.
