Lonya and Phogs no. Some of those guys fear nomination. But it's stupid of him to join Azimio. He should have played Isaac - back Ruto on the top but retained his party. I see he skipped Azimio Naivasha meet...maybe he will get the message...otherwise he is against Gideon and Ruto...therefore the maths professor might find himself home.

Many politician in central will make that mistake - of not listening to the ground -

If the ground is even 60 percent for Ruto - and you join Azimio - you're starting NEGATIVE 60 - only beneficiary there is Raila - but you as politician will lose before it start. Njama Kariri style in Kiambaa.

But if you in Northern Kenya - where it's 50-50 - yeah you can join Azimio or UDA - it wont make much difference as people are split down the middle.

There is a new thing on the RV Kalenjin ground going undetected. Tugen and Pokot have had some rivalry since time immemorial. However, Nandi has never had beef or violent interaction with pokots. On the development front, DP, over the years, has built a friendship with many groups, churches, and organizations in Pokot, as he has done in most parts of Kenya. I think the camaraderie will pay off unless popular Lonyangapuo goes out of his way to campaign for 'baba'; in that case, it may end up being 70/30.

You're right. If Lonyapou concentrate on his bid - and forget Azimio - West Pokot will go 85-90 percent for Ruto. If he doesnt - Raila will get 30 and he will lose the governorship. So it's in his best interest to concentrate on his game.
