Very good - DCI and DPP - should never be friends

The same with police and executive. They are suppose to be as independent as judiciary is. They are suppose to counter-check each other.

DPP should ensure they only present strong cases to judiciary ...not become a conveyor belt for DCI or Police shoddy or even political work.

Very correct. Problem here is Kinoti thinks he should be a media star. Too much PR with little substance. What happened to the case of AP Sergeant Kipyegon Kenei? Kinoti went to the media to potray the death of the AP as pure murder and months later he still has not presented any evidence leading to the cause of the man's death.

The worst is current police head - that Mutywambia has basically surrendered police independence - and has allowed DCI to overshadow him. In fact in BBI they wanted DCI to be independent of police.

The first person that should be fired is Mutyambai, then Kinoti  - that is after useless AG Kuhara.

I think DPP has really tried to be independent - that Wariah deserve more time.

EACC has also gone dead...

Judiciary should help restore the independence of Police, DPP and EACC - Uhuru has owned these institutions. But with judicial fightback - heroes like Omtatah should go to court.

Omtatah deserves the highest honours in Kenya if not a big job. Omtatah should be head hunted to lead the KNHCR.

Bigger issue are the supremacy wars between them and blame games for botched cases. Is it poor prosecution or poor evidence gathering?

Why give the benefit of doubt to world most violent and corrupt police force? We do not have a police force. In all corruption ranking - the 2nd most corrupt - doesnt even come anywhere near police.

The judiciary has benefitted from the elites fights. In Kenya when elites are fighting institutions easily flourish. If Ruto was with handchieth gang judiciary would have been kaput. Even Atwoli would have had a chance as the Chief Justice.

Yes but I think Magara cancelling Uhuru win over procedural mistakes - was the most momentous even for Kenya and Africa judiciary - from there it was going to be mtereremko.
