Former CJ Mutunga to bring back Miguna Miguna next month

After careful reflection and following broad consultations with lawyers, human rights and justice defenders, progressive politicians, and Mr Miguna himself, I have decided to travel to Toronto, Canada, to accompany Mr Miguna on his flight back to his motherland on 16 November 2021. I am also seeking out Kenyan journalists who will accompany me on this historic journey.

Its hard to be an activist after being a chief justice. He had an opportunity to do something great in 2013 but chickened out.  Miguna should return, but I do not see how accompanying him for the journey will make a difference because people are cleared to board a plane as individuals and not as a group.  All MM needs to do is get a Kenyan passport use it to travel to Kenya and then fight the rest of the war while in Kenya.  Court orders can be disobeyed by the executive branch if they can cite or articulate security or health reasons.

Cut Mutunga some slack even if he had given Raila his vote - it would be 6-1. In 2017 it was 5-2. 2013 was unanimous. As for Miguna Miguna - and Mutunga - I guess he travels with some passport. I doubt he travels without either a Kenyan or Canadian passport. But I agree - he should get passport from the embassy or travel to kenya as canadian.

Miguna could make money with Ruto who need attack dogs against Raila....

This is a cheap stunt.

Mutunga will be cleared and Miguna will be held back and should they catch whiff of his presence they may just deny the plane landing rights or whatever.

That will become Uhuru legacy. Miguna Miguna will eventually come to Kenya and sue the gov for millions. They should just let him come - make his noise - and the big giant wont hurt anybody.
