Of course China has its achievements especially in the last 40 years. At what price is another question. CCP is a dictatorship and can hold on to power as long as it is able to improve the mateial wealth of the people of China. The party is only communist on paper. Many of the delegates in the People's Congress are billionaires and multi-millionaires. They got their wealth through turbo capitalism.
I believe CCP can hold on power for the next 20 years. The new urban generation that has no idea of the poverty that was in China 40 years ago will have another mentality than the present generation that rules the country. This is when we will see if the country can hold together.
