Muturi was Uhuru boy long time ago. I dont think he wants anything to do with unpopular uhuru. That is genesis of this Kiraitu party. He knows Jubilee and Uhuru are unpalatable esp in Meru. Kibaki had really favoured Merus - under Uhuru - its not been lucrative - everything been down including Miraa.
I'd rank Meru-Embu Ruto biggest stronghold. Then Kikuyu diaspora the 2nd (mostly coz they want to commit to long term peace with RVs). Nairobi also seem Ruto has figured out the GEMA.
When it come to central proper - Kiambu-Nyandarua(Ruto very much ahead), Muranga (there is some work here), Nyeri-Kirinyanga (Ruto is good here - they didnt like Uhuru in the first place
- they see Kibaki as better PORK).
Generally Ruto at worse will score 90 percent of central.
Ruto really only need 60-70 percent - and if he gets any of OKA principles
- he only need 50 percent.
Let just agree Gema has split into 2: Ruto and Uhuru-Raila. Muturi has bought Prof ole Kiyiapi party - led by Lenny Kivuti and full of Embus, Merus - backed by the 3 governors. We know Muturi is Uhuru boy. Munya has joined anti-Ruto Kikuyu governors & MPs - but he seems envious of Muturi.
