On the dying Jubilee as Murathe-Tuju think signing these things help anything - they have signed with pretty much everyone including CCP of China.

Possibly. They want one year to loot. They may need a war though.

But Omollo - parliament and executive - are no longer tied on the hip - parliament can be extended but can executive be? I think answer is NO.

Article 102
(1) The term of each House of Parliament expires on the date of the next general election.

(2) When Kenya is at war, Parliament may, by resolution supported in each House by at least two-thirds of all the members of the House, from time to time extend the term of Parliament by not more than six months at a time.

(3) The term of Parliament shall not be extended under clause (2) for a total of more than twelve months.

From Day One of the handshake and if you look at how Murathe had been talking taking into consideration his influence with Njee Muturi who participated in handshake talks, Its plausable to assume part of the handshake deal was to merge Jubilee and ODM.

Uhuru knows he is going home next year. He said it in France.
He wants to be a factor in next year elections  hence all the games he is playing.
One thing people need to understand is 2022 elections is Ruto vs Raila.
Most of Raila supporters hope and pray Uhuru helps Raila in 2022 elections. Foetunately or Unfortunately Uhuru has little ingluence over the poeple who voted foe him in 2013 and 2017. Actually they voted against Raila in both elections and not for him.

There is no way executive - Uhuru term or governors or mca - it only parliament.

I don't think they imagine Jubilee would be so weaken.
This merge with ODM if they lose in Kiambaa - will be a perfect excuse for many to quit Jubilee.
Jubilee never saw Ruto coming. They thought all they needed was to keep the party tight.

Jubilee is dead because they dont have a strong 2022 presidential candidate period.
What Tuju and Murathe are doing is to legitimuze ODM suppkrt kf Uhuru tk loot. Having lost BBI it seems Uhuru people dont know how Raila will react so a way of taming him is tk form an alliance.
