A motor home does not allow you anonymity for debauchery. It will take a photo of a girl in deep congo naked in the car to destroy you and your wife and kids, while you have had it all.

There are affordable safe lodges, hotels, airnbs all over these days. You just google your destination call. As a budget traveller I befriend the girls to even cook for me. Very cheap and nice chicken.

He runs the real risk of contracting a yet unknown form of STD from the bowels of the Congo and spreading it to the rest of humanity. HIV/AIDS was spread in exactly the same fashion by itinerant workers in Brazzaville at the turn of the 20th century in the Belgian colonial period. The last thing on my mind when I turn 60 would be sex. Why are men perpetually thirsty?

Sperm production doesn't stop until very late in healthy males.  One of the ways you can gauge a man's health is by their level of interest in sex.  Still most people I know have it with their wives or regular mistresses.

Yeah but the black mamba doesn't have the same vigor once you go beyond a certain age, say 55, hence the prevalence of Viagra and similar pills.

You guys are such skeptics. The big risk here is running into al Kebab or such highway bandits. Not some new AIDS or getting caught. Is AirBnB immune to disease or going viral?

The truck drivers have regular girls and wives in all their stops. You are a highway person. My concern is you will be having too many worries on your mind which you can outsource to the lodge and airbnb owners - water, shit, health??

How do they wire the power systems in the motor homes? solar?

I own trucks - yes most truck drivers have girlfriends all over and most have two or 3 wives - the smart ones sleep on their truck - except say when they are not allowed - say Mzigo has reached destination and it's waiting to be unloaded - Mzigo is at client yard and that is normally 2-3 days waiting time. That is when they sleep on lodges - mostly Mzigo ikifika. The stupid reckless one will waste money on lodges and blow their money.

I like travel slowly and cover the bases...small towns..sleep for a day or two...move next..slowly. Now AirBnb will mean you need to get transport to and from; then at night; operate taxis; or be even afraid to get out. Driving your own car is great...and give you the ultimate freedom.
