Some times - many times - good people like Mumbi do half-thought things - that undo a lot of hardwork. The maxim of judiciary should always to let some criminal free if there is doubt but never jail an innocent man. They should NEVER trust gov. The prosecutor, eacc, dci - are political players.

Number of governors out - already are nearly 10 out of 47 - Samburu, Kiambu, Sonko (technical), Obado, tharaka, garissa, ojaamong  - and rest are scared - living in borrowed times.

By 2022 - the wananchi will not recognize their county govs.

Governor is an elected leader - some by a million people. You cannot just make a stupid rulling that undermine democracy. If voters want Sonko - let them have him for 5yrs.  If they want to remove him - follow the political process - or wait for next political process.

Suspending a governor on the basis of suspicion is BOLLOX. Yes if quitly and has been jailed - go ahead and kick him.

Witness protection - we have witness protection unit - let them do their work. It's enough to warn the governor not to interfer with witnesses - and if not bail terms are lifted - and he is send to remand prison.

Actually this a different isssue. This is about governors and devolution. I don't see where Ruto can be placed here. Maybe his friendly governors are scared but every governor right now is ranked lower than DC. DC enjoy better security of tenure through PSC.

The governors being sent home now include those scared to support BBI - like Garissa and Tharaka one.

We have basically made the DPP and EACC - the sole determinant of devolution. In fact if you're serious politician - don't run for governorship. It's no a waste of time.

As for Ruto - maybe we missed some breaking news - because I left when he was pretty much the guy to beat in 2022.
