Let's Pray
« on: October 05, 2014, 09:29:40 AM »
Good morning Church,

I have a word on Confession but God willing I will share it in the coming Lord's Day. For now let's look at the devil

Revelation 20:10
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

If there is something that gets Satan worked up and mad, it is the FACT that he is already judged and sentenced to eternal damnation in the Lake of Fire. His fate is sealed. He can't repent. All he has left is fast diminishing time between now and Lake of fire

1Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith....

Contrast that with men who sin and fall short of God's grace but God is still merciful and extends His grace to them.

The believer would do well to be fully aware of their adversary who seeks to go down with as many as

Ephesians 6:10-13 (HCSB)
10 Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by His vast strength. 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the Devil. 12 For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens. 13 This is why you must take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand.

Ephesians actually is more graphic in depicting our engagement with the Devil, it is real war. Please read the rest of chapter 6 and remember this old adage;
WHEN THE DEVIL REMINDS YOU OF YOUR PAST,REMIND HIM OF HIS FUTURE

And now, let us praise Him who lved us and washed us from our sins in His own Blood
2 Timothy 2:4  No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

All praises, honor and glory to the Living God, the King of Kings. His love and mercy endureth forever.
Prov 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life
