You seem to be specializing in luhyas and kikuyus. We want a voice on what is happening with Nandis, kipsigisis, pokots, marakwets, Tugens et al. They only have one sickly donkey. Kwani there are mules or horses in these tribes

I don't think you're ready to handle the truth.

Kalenjin believe it's Ruto time. They also believe they have played fair.

Now if Uhuru wants to play rough - then rough game they will play.

Moi went home - Uhuru should go home. Constitution in 2010 was passed without Kalenjin's liking.

If you come round and change it now - again - to block Ruto - then you're declaring war.

And we will have a very big war in 2022...it looking likely. The way I see - the elites are starting to behaving with impunity.

Kalenjin will bottle it up until it clear Ruto has won or lost. That much I can guarantee. Kalenjin will not split. Don't waste time on it.

If Ruto clearly loses - and GEMA reneges on the deal- GEMA will get punished. And for a long time. Kalenjin as of now have accepted GEMA (kikuyus) to co-exist peaceful as brothers and sisters.

If Ruto wins or appear to wins - and is rigged - a pole that will be the end of Kenya as we now.

if GEMA support Ruto and he loses clearly - Kalenjin will lick their wounds and support the winner.

In short I don't think Kalenjin have yet to internalize loosing. Maybe they will just get depressed like Luos. But knowing them - they will cause war.

Isn't too dangerous to be this caged with one bullet in your bag of tricks. Why don't Kalenjins get out there and try to mix it up in the tribal horse trading? It is like they just send one horse and if it gets beat up they have no plan B other than Mshale.

You need to use MOAS to help your guys play this Poker better

Kalenjins need a Therapist.. this is not 1700s. You need to up your game to the 21st century. Haki Kales are very uncharismatic or just plain uninterested. I remember how I was trying to coax some marathoners I had met in an event to be more outgoing so that they can be able to get marketing deals.. they just seemed very uninterested and we had to actually push one to go do an interview with a radio station.

it is just bizarre. it is like you guys lack ambition or that thirst for money

They too emotionally invested in one outcome and it becomes unbearable if the outcome is against their wishes

Kalenjin have tasted power - actually had power for 24yrs. They know it worth it. They know if they lose it - even the little they gained from Moi will be taken away like Mau forest.

For Kalenjin - this is their time to go back to power. This time for the return of political glory. They have paid their dues to GEMA.

As for Gideon or Isaac - those don't even show up in Kalenjin radar. Zero. They are there or not there - Raila or opposition -get their 2%.

But times have changed. Kenya has changed. I was imagining how a Tugen villager thinks his primary school going daughter will be employed in Nairobi once Kales comeback to power

It reminds when my dad worked at the bank. Back in the days a Bank manager was in charge of HR/personnel as referred to then. So anytime a position opened up at the bank. My dad would ask my mum to ask around for any villager with certain qualifications and ask they bring CV and diplomas home. In the 1980s there was a change and all HR recruitment was taken from the hands of managers in order to get more graduates to the workforce. Therefore, my dad had to communicate this to the villagers of his loss of power. Even when I left Kenya we still have a pile of CVS in my living room because every graduate never got this message internalized and would stop by with a heap of papers to be considered for a job. So the papers were very useful for lighting fire in the mornings

You lost me there. Kalenjin are automaton. Get the job done and go home. They don't know how to show leave alone express emotions. That is how Kalenjin man is trained. To be a mean machine.

The same mental strength that allow a Kalenjin to suppress marathon pain - is the same mental strenght that wont allow him to go and giggle like a little girl before a TV - and describes his emotions winning or running.

It's a business. Kipchoge Eliud epitomizes it. He say the celebration ends at finish line. That little celebration and it's over.

TV interview would be boring. How did you win. I just won.

you need to meet the elders and ask them to tweak this rites that require stoicism. Kalenjin men should be able to cry like Ruto. I think that what makes Ruto resonate with a lot of Kikuyu women. He goes to church and once in a while he lets emotions get the better of him and weep like a teething baby

So what if Ruto decided he wont run? Would Kalenjins accept this and move on?

That is exactly what Kalenjin imagine would happen under Ruto. It would be return of the Moi glorious era. The Luos have the dream but never really tasted it.

I am telling you. I do not envy being a Kenyan. It is being caught in a really tight spot. If you do not elect Kalenjins they erupt in fury and displace everyone. If you elect them, they will match to nairobi and start repatriating the wealth back to the village to buy combine harvesters. Kenya is fucked

Ruto like Moi is a Christian boy. AIC boy. But most Kalenjin are so hard-headed they'd get killed if they were like Ruto or Moi. Someone like Seroney or Isaac Ruto is a real Kalenjin - more like a Luo or Maasai or Turkana - or Pokot. Those ones have no fear. The Luos are hard-headed but cowardly. But Kalenjin has no fear - more like mix of Somali and Luo. The difference with Luo - is recklessness - but for Kalenjin the bravery is measured.

yeah Luos are just daring and reckless.
You see them really going at it with all emotions. Isaac Ruto is a hot headed mess. He goes in deep with no backing out. I have never even seen his wife. It is like she doesn't exist, even when his daughter died he took it the warrior way no national mourning. Just mourned his own way and move on. I think Kales need to adopt Ruto and Moi soft power approaches. The need this kind of vulnerability to succeed in a country like Kenya. You see Kales do not even bother to join others to lobby across country, even now they are unbowed with the ongoing realignments. It is like Kenya starts and ends in RV for them

Isaac is crazy. I have been told in PEV he goes to war. The idiot got arrested in the 1982 coup because he went with Khawale and supported the Ochuka. He is just a typical Bomet primitive. Kones was more like that. They lack the sophistry needed for national politics.

Yes what helps Moi and Ruto is the church - it reduces their warriorsness.

And of course not drinking alcohol - because if you get drunk - you can say a lot of nasty things and regret later.

Gema elite need the therapist more. Having gone to eating their vomit on Raila while spiting Ruto needs serious therapy. Breaking what was working/would work for generations and diving into volatile shark invested waters?? Total madness- they need no assessment to be admitted to Mathare.
