Kenyans doing better than Europe in Corona fight
« on: March 17, 2020, 10:16:10 PM »
I think it helps when people are ignorant and terrified rather than Europe where everyone is kichwa ngumu know it all. That is my impression on 4th night at Nairobi.Kenyans are trying their best...but can they sustain when the panic spread as numbers rise. This is where European stoicism and rationality wins

You are praising Kenyans too early. We can only hope the numbers of infections do not rise very fast like in Europe. Also the weather plays a big role, but the cold season is knocking at the door. The number of people in Kenya above 65 years of age is less than 3%. Those are the most vulnerable. Very big advantage. Check the death announcements in northern part of Italy. To 95% elderly people above 70.

I clearly said - long term - Europe rationality might win - because the health system will collapse if everyone panics. The numbers are doubling every day - and soon it will be everywhere. There is a huge HIV AIDS burden too - although ARVs is helping to boost the immunity of those affected.
