Raila was pulling moves when Ruto was in primary school in 1982 and yet PORK continues to elude him. Ruto is very strategic, disciplined and tactical. That is why Uhuru and gang are very frustrated because he is so deft and won't concede mistakes in Mt Kenya. If it was Raila - he would have already tripped. Ruto won't be making mistakes - despite the corruption propaganda and he is 'sabotaging' or not 'respecting' uhuru.
As you know Ruto just has to make sure constitution is not ammended. It become harder and harder to do this the more we get into 2022 - which is why Orengo wants it done somehow by June 2020 - 3 months from now
. Ruto can throw a wrench into it in any stage of this long drawn process...that frankly has not yet began. This BBI validation will take six months - then we get another report - to be validated.
Once it become clearly Uhuru 2.0 won't be possible - it will be game over for Raila. He will try to get Waiguru or some GEMA to be his PM or DPORK but the trust deficit with Mt Kenya is the size of rift valley. It already clear bribing Johos and Oparanyas with regional governors won't cut.
That why Uhuru 2.0 would be big upset for Ruto. I believe it still in play. But you gotta give old Raila credit for pulling moves... Ruto is no longer sleepwalking to SH. He is wide awake and sweaty now.
