That organic kind of growth will take quite sometime to get us where we want. We need to attract Chinese and other mega-industries & factories - and hope they can spread happiness (jobs, sub-contracts, etc) around. Gov should aim to attract say 10 or 20 big industries..willing to invest 500M-1B dollars -- and we have to be ready to make big concessions.

There's no magic wand to industrialization. EPZ have almost those incentives you're suggesting yet the number of companies isn't increasing. Actually some of them are relocating. BTW it'll be cheaper to zero rate capital goods and lowering energy cost than giving foreign companies all those subsidies. And its not like there are foreign companies eager to invest 500m-1b manufacturing in kenya.

Not sure how authentic this claim is, but Ruto has been repatriating stolen loot abroad only to ship it back as loans to businesses in exchange for equity.

So Uhuru is really after Ruto in Keroche.

You can replace Ruto with any top gov official getting 10% from Chinese and later cleaning it up.I doubt Ruto will invest in alcohol business.Moi never did. Both never tasted alcohol.Keroche are close to Raila.

If I was to guess business Ruto would clean his money it would be insurance, tourism, real estate, media and agriculture..those are sectors where he has invested from day 1.. maybe transport, agro processing and finance/banking..lately.And maybe retail & wholesaling... buying the small upcoming superman.Ruto to invest  in Keroche is crazy.
