This story has been so hot I'm amazed it hasn't popped up here. Do you guys think this latest scandal about the immigrant children will affect the midterms? I have a dog in this fight actually. I'm planning to join my family there permanently at the end of year under current laws and don't want the laws to change on me before I do.

I agree, Termi...it's the demographics, stupid. But whats tje point now? Its too late folks. Already whites are a minority among children born in the last few years. Whats the point of fighting Hispanics anyhow? Arent most of them White anyway? I thought the anti immigration thing was driven by terrorism fears but these are Christians or secular people coming across just like Americans. Its amazing. I saw Ann Coulter claiming that her ancestors were nkt immigrants, they were settlors.

Global, it certainly looks very tense. But I dont think anyone will war. If these guts are really that committed to being only part of a majority White state they can move to Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. The US is lost and nothing they can do can reverse the clock. It will be a multiethnic country. Thats done.
