To be fair to the MP, what does he have to do with fire engines? Those enquiries should be directed at the governor who is in-charge of the county's fire fighting department if it exists at all. Also the fire engines at Wilson Airport are in the hands of Kenya Ports Authority and the MP has no say.
Btw, do you think the national and county officials care about the residents of a slum like Kijiji? It is for them good riddance that the slum has been burnt down.

In term of logistic the governor should take responsibility however,  the point I was aiming at is that this guy should lead investigators to the arsonist.

How can an MP "lead" investigators? That is not his job description. He can only go to parliament and try push through legislature like compeling the county goverments to have water hydrants every where in residential areas.

I am just glad Kenya never gets any serious California style wildfires.  Still, I thought I saw Sonko showing off fire engines.  You also have to consider that some of the missing resources are allocated for tomorrow's inauguration.

The solution is just title deeds for these slums. Whoever gets the title, whether rightfully or through patronage will develop their plots to some standards as is the case with other parts of the city.

Korir should be the main suspect on this issue. I have no doubt he has the information on the arsonist.
4 death someone should be tried for murder and endangering thousands of Kenyans.

Sonko and Nairobi county should be sued for negligence.
