Tribalism like Racism is never about individuals and therefore you cannot give examples of individual relationships to make a valid point about it.  That's why in the US, the claim that one is not a racist because one has friends who are black or white is laughable.

I went to school with Kambas and Kikuyus and both were my very good friends. I KNOW how Kikuyus despise Kambas behind their backs. One of the insults they treasured was "mkamba". I never could understand. Then I figured out that my Kyuk friends were carrying around their parents' prejudices. Now when I figured out that I quickly discovered that they despised me MORE than they despised the Kamba.
