Kenya Airways chief executive Sebastian Mikosz has sent mixed signals regarding the tenure of five Polish nationals hired to help turn around the ailing national carrier.

While stating that the five expatriates will be hired on an initial three-month contract, Mr Mikosz fell short of clarifying whether the contracts are subject to extension.

Let the guy get what he wants. If he wants to bring 200 poles to help him turn around the company - go ahead. The public has already sunk so much money into it. Our kenyan managers have failed...when KLM expats were running - things were better - but as soon as we got black commerical and finance directors - KQ went south.

We need more and more xpats.
