Some of these people are very primitive.  The more civilized one is the more they appreciate the rule of law, and the independence of all branches of government.  Corruptition and tribalism is not only bad for the economy but also makes a mockery of democracy.  When you have a majority of legislatures based on tribalism and bribery, then that is not the concept of majority rule envisioned by the concept of democracy. A majority obtained through corruption, intimidation and bribery is not a majority in the context of democracy. You cannot therefore say that our leaders are democratically elected when they are just a bunch of  happy slaves working for Uhuru and Ruto.

This is where you see the difference between third and first world.  The law.  In the US, even dictator wanna-be Trump can only whine when some judge on some island cripples his executive orders.  The idea that he would go after that judge is crazy even to Donald Trump.  Not in Kenya.
Its the Jubilants. The rest of us are just amazed. Ati a judge needs to be "punished" for making the "wrong" decision....ata hawana aibu. I really hope one day Pundits and his friends are forced to contend with the consequences of the weak judiciary they desire in their own personal lives. Maybe thats what it takes to sink some fundamental ideas in some people. As it stands, Pundit and friends think this would never affect them.

I agree. They cannot buy, intimidate, detain or kill everybody. Getting a majority in the parliament through intimidation, bribery, tribalism and stealing elections is the most primitive form of democracy.

Tribalism has just muddied Maraga's judgement.
He is being shielded by his Tribe and for that may remain untouched for all his failures (real or imagined)

He is no different from politicians who take cover behind their Tribes to avoid persecution. I doubt Maraga is grinning from the turn of events.

If Ngunjiri petition is DOA as NASWA and all Maraga fans claim, they should be more than eager to let it implode instead of prempting it.

Of course it's possible they are only politicizing it to deny Uhunye as many votes as possible in Kisii-Nyamira,but they won't admit as much

I think after election - on 17th - this tribal nonsense will dissipate- and magara ought to be dealt with.

Please. Jubilee are not politicizing a disfavourable judgment. Those condemning the politicization are the ones politicizing things....my foot. And even better, Maraga is to also be blamed for JUBILEE's politicization of a MAJORITY decision of the SCOK.... Are you serious?

Point out "ALL" Maraga's "failures". Its really sly to just slip that in there and then add (real/imagined) so you dont have to defend a statement like: "shielded from all his failures". Making up stuff doesn't count. Just the list of failures will do, thank you. While at it, could you also provide evidence for Maraga "taking cover" behind his tribe or indeed just "taking cover" AT ALL?

Last, the idea that a judge should not be shielded from a WITCH-HUNT in order to "prove" that there is no merit to this witch-hunt is beyond ABSURD. I mean, habe you SEEN the absurd accusations Ngunjiri is making? Like Maraga unduly influenced the others...was he there in the closed deliberations? Perhaps HE should tell us more?

A judge is a judge is a judge. Even Mutunga. You can critize them all you want but you cant start aiming your gun at them for ruling against you. Even if they make the most stupid decision on earth, like allowing slavery to continue, all you can say is how stupid it is. What you guys are defending with a straight face is bullying and intimidation crossing over to coercion of judicial officers, however much the bias tries to disguise itself as "neutral" commentary.

Jubilee is no different from the mafia sending chilling messages to judges about "consequences" for ruling against them, trying to disabuse them of their delusions of independence. What is surprising though is the cheer leading.
