How Many CORD Defectors Still in Jubilee Pundit?
« on: April 29, 2017, 05:16:01 PM »
I kept telling you that most of those MPs were seeking campaign finance and once they had enough they would repair to the party. You counted them as part of the "shifting" grounds.

The analysis is not complete. However I can tell you over 60% of them quietly crawled back into the party. We have some like Onyonka shifting base to FORD K but within NASA. Non MPs like Kizito beat fellow part time rebel Anami to take the ODM ticket. Those rebels who tried to run within ODM were trashed by the electorate. I expect others to be knocked out in the elections proper.

The question is: What did Jubilee gain? Moi used to go for by-elections to bankrupt the opposition.  He stopped it when he realized that far from bankrupting, by-elections provided an excuse to attract funds from donors. Uhuru tested Kilifi, he lost and led to the puncturing of Gideon Mung'aro's over-blown ego.

I have counter-checked and found none who has defected apart from John Waluke and Otsiula. Otsiula had issues with nomination a while ago and I believe he opted to stay in Jubilee with the hope of getting a job after he loses.

Serut will most likely run as an Independent again.
  • Suleiman Murunga - Kimilili - Ford K
  • Eseli Simiyu - Tongaren -  Ford-K
  • John Serut - Mount Elgon - Independent
  • Sirisia - John Waluke - ODM (Defector)
  • James Lusweti Mukwe  - Kabuchai - FORD-K
  • Bumula - Boniface Otsiula - Jubilee
  • Kanduyi -  Wafula Wamunyinyi - FORD K
  • Webuye East - Dan Wanyama - ANC
  • Alfred Sambu - Webuye West - ANC
