Characteristics of a victim of a narcissistic lover

This sounds like me without the guy. I felt like this the last couple years, not sure why. For the first time I'm feeling free.  :)

Some of those sound like what happens when two unequally invested (emotionally) people are dating/romantically involved. One is always chasing, the other is always hard to get. Because the one chasing is so invested, they take on the task of "fixing" any issues in the relationship because they are not ready to accept the plain facts and pull back. That's why they always feel responsibl for the other party's feelings/actions etc. Usually, if they just snap out of it and pull back, the other party changes behavior and seems to become more invested/involved, but Often when this happens, its too late.

It just wasn't meant to be. In a situation like that, one was a narcissist and the universe saved the other from a lifetime of hell.
