What Robert Alai (granted, not the most reliable source) is suspecting:

Jubilee scheming to replace Ruto with Gideon Moi. Moi has instructed Gideon Moi to do all he can to stop Ruto. Mama Ngina also met Moi to find ways of stopping Ruto. The politics is getting interesting and might see some realignments.
But the schemers really fear that Ruto's fight-back might be ruthless. Ruto's camp not happy. Things are thick!!!

I don't know what the immediate plan is.  They probably stick with the hustler and isolate him midway through the next term.  Come 2022, GEMA will do what GEMA does.  For the hustler to remain relevant, he is better of cultivating ties with other tribes.  2022 might yet be the most open election season in Kenya's history.

Ruto has nowhere to go and will stay put.  He has failed to deliver the entire Kalenjin  forcing ouru and his mother had to come and get the Moi faction.  The Moi's  have found a way to negotiate directly with the Kenyatta's and there is nothing WSR can do about it and therefore the frustration.  Isaac Ruto should hold up a little bit and then negotiate directly with the Kenyatta's for a bigger pay day before he jumps in with chupilee.  This direct negotiation's will drive William crazy but he has nowhere to go.  If ouru wins 2nd term, William will be the big loser.  He will be useless to Gema and it will be sad to watch him being used and discarded. They first have to win something in election...like governors, mps and senatores before being taken seriously. I can understand kenyatta not wanting to take chance...Ruto can and has delivered 95% of kalenjin..but if Uhuru want to get 100%..he'll have to it himself. The same case with Ruto. He is not sitting there waiting for Kenyatta to deliver Kikuyus...Uhuru will deliver maybe 80% but Ruto has to work hard for the rest.

A few weeks ago I wrote that Ruto has two choices:

1. He can demand Medvedev -Putin. It will be rejected
2. He can then go it alone and most likely come second or third ( a danger to NASA in event of a runoff)
3. He can support NASA and negotiate a good deal

Of all these I see number two as most audacious. In case there is round two, it would force his friends in Central to decided which is the Greater Evil between Ruto and Raila. Would they vote for him after he just caused the end of Uthamaki? Or would they vote for Raila to hit at Ruto?

All calculations I make show Uhuru coming third where NASA wijns in the first round.
