Ireland is very strong in development aid, a competent diplomat will benefit Kenya a lot.

I agree with Keynan...we do not need ambassador in places like ireland...UK high commissioner can handle such docket.

Foreign affairs can do with some trimming.

In this era and age...we do not need brick and mortar office in ireland to attract business.. UK high commissioner should handle Great Britain.

I know Richard very well, used to work with Unilever and is son of late former Butere MP Jesse Opembe. Is also St Mary's school alumni and Uhuru classmate/close buddy. His father used to have a neon sign outside his gate which used to flash..'Opembe in, Opembe in..or Opembe out, Opembe out' depending on the circumstance...in his Butere village mansion :D

Mzeiya IRA liberated Ireland from Great Britain kitambo.
I think Northern Ireland is causing your confusion.
UK high commissioner has nothing to do with Ireland anymore.
Ireland is as foreign a country to UK as Portugal or France.

First get your geography and history right. Yes ireland is independent but it within Great Britain Isles. Northern ireland, scotland, wales and england forms the UK.There is nothing stopping kenya from having one embassy dealing with several countries. UK high commissioner can act as ambassador to Ireland.

We cannot afford to have 240 embassies.

There is nothing like Great Britain Isles.
You mean British Isles.
Great Britain is an Island that only includes Scotland, Wales and England.
I should have said IRA liberated Ireland from UK not GB.
Yes Kenya can't have 240 embassies but Ireland is abit more important to Kenya than a couple of nations that have almost 0% Kenyans.
There is actually a sizable amount of Kenyans living in Dublin.
London embassy is obviously busy as hell, no need ongezaing Ireland's load on them.
