Chaos In Kisumu - Burning and Stoning
« on: September 13, 2014, 12:17:16 PM »
Where is Kneegrow to update us on the genesis of this crisis. He works for Kisumu County Govt.

Quote
Business was disrupted in Kisumu Saturday morning after traders blocked roads leading to the town to protest demolition of their stalls at Oile market by county government.

The traders burnt tyres on the main roads leading into the town and broke windows of shops near the market.

The demolition of the stalls started Friday night. Traders started the protest at 6am on Saturday and engaged police in running battles.

Thanks Jakoyo for this notification. Shameful act if you ask me.  Eeeh police, tear-gas these lawbreakers!  Now I can't even venture to the City centre.

if nobody died and no property was destroyed, let them vent. Hawkers in Ngara have been battling cops for years. Very stubborn Okoyus who hate order
