Kericho and Malindi mini polls

My bet is that Jubilee will run away with Kericho while CORD will sweep Malindi.

Coast politics seem to be on tilting towards gov if consider that nearly half of elected cord leadership have basically decamped to Jubilee. I doubt that many politicians would be suicidal and you'd expect them to know the ground has soften enough for them to join Jubilee. Malindi therefore is 50-50. When it come to Kericho, Jubilee will say through easily.

I think soon you'll have to count those that are still with cord. From Taveta, the senator is in Jubilee, to Kwale where the governor and most of mps are also in Jubilee, Lamu is jubilee damu, then mombasa and kilif counties...where half are in Jubilee..include those elected in smaller parties who have switched from caucusing with CORD to Jubilee. Of the 5 counties in coast..CORD can really only count on Joho and Kingi. If the leaning of elected leaders was good indicator..I would say Jubilee has made grounds..and is now 50-50 with CORD in coast...from maybe 70:30 in 2013.

Things are not so good for some Jubilee bigwigs in the ongoing campaigns for the Malindi by-election. Its candidate Philip Charo is said to be happy with the idea of appearing to be alone. In fact, those close to him say he would rather be referred to as an independent candidate. He believes the presence of Jubilee senior politicians in his campaign is an unnecessary burden that could undermine his bid. Now the man is said to have quietly asked Jubilee leaders, led by National Assembly majority leader Aden Duale, to stay away from his campaigns and let him fight a solo war.

If Jubilee loses it will be excellent for the country. They'll know people are MAD and they want answers to a runaway govt full of corrupt individuals.

Are people really mad about that though?

The educated are angry while the uneducated continue to follow the tribal lines. No wonder the standards of education continue to produce critical thinkers - look at the current MPIGS - most are 8-4-4. The only policy they can come up with is what their masters like Duale regurgitate. Kind of like the current republicans who have no policy, except what billionaires push into their brains.
