Bad behaviour which should be castigated by all politicians from all polictical parties. In a democracy we may dissagree on our views, but tolerating the opponents views is part and parcel of the game.

Nairobi is not Ruto's zone. As always, he will likely get 10-20% vote. May increase to 30-40% with right coalition.

I think Mululu Injendi was Ruto's point man in Malava, and those citizens have benefitted from Ruto's development record, so they just couldn't stomach Ruto's criticism in their territory, especially in the sugar belt, where the current administration, unlike those in the past, has moved to improve farmer's conditions. Those in the crowds are farmers and children of farmers, who recently got money and are continuously getting paid money from booming sugar sector courtesy of Ruto's interventions

President William Ruto has given KSh150 million bonus for sugar farmers who have supplied cane to Kakamega’s Mumias Sugar Factory, the first such payment in the sector.

The President said the historic bonus payment to farmers not only validates the success of the reforms introduced in the sugar sector, but is also evidence of the potential to uplift farmers and support tens of thousands of livelihoods.

“With a record 832,000 tonnes of sugar produced last year, Kenya is on course to attaining surplus production and commence regional exports by 2026, turning sugarcane cultivation into a viable and rewarding venture,” he said.
