Kenya is a difficult place. Now the sentence is 12 years in jail or pay 53 million. He must have coughed up around 60 million, where the judge would take 5 million and the rest would go to fines. After stealing 588 million, that is a net 500m+. So anyone can steal 1 billion and just save around 100M for pribing courts! In proper court, he should have been handed 90 years and made to pay the full amount! Now those Gen Zs who were protesting finance bill should be in the streets, bringing the country to its knees because that is a very legitimate issue to protest about, not protesting a President doing everything right!
