Don't believe what you read or know about Kenya. Given the chance, most Kenyans are conmen. Few people have been busted conning foreign organizations in the name of abductions. Cartels are abducting folks critical to government and then using them to siphon money from family and donor agencies. Kenya Police has reiterated there is no one being held outside the law. Those being held, if there are any, must be criminals like those that burned the parliament/courthouse during Genz idiotic revolution!

Cotu Secretary General Francis Atwoli has sensationally claimed that some people in the country "abduct themselves"  to get funding from organisations.

Speaking during the burial of National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula, Atwoli said he is privy to such cases owing to his vast networks that transcend the borders.

"On abductions, I work with many organizations across the world, some people are abducting themselves so that they can get money from some organizations," he said.

Atwoli added that parents must teach their children to be respectful people, who should not use social media in a bad way.

“Your right is not key to tamper with the rights of others. We must respect the office of the President,” he said.

Atwoli was speaking on Friday at a highly charged burial service of the mother of the National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula and Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi.

President William Ruto, Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi, Several MPs, Governors, CS and other government officials were present.

Speaker after speaker weighed in on the abduction fiasco even as Ruto's allies moved to defend the government against the backlash.

Atwoli is a fat clown and these people trying to cover for Ruto are no longer making sense!! Why would you chose to abduct yourself during the christmas season and stay hidden??

Ruto is now stuck: If he releases them, they'll know he is the abductor and torturer.  If they are dead, kenya will burn.

Ruto needs to stop taking advice from illiterate thugs like Sudi and Farouk Kibet.

Abductions have been there even in Uhurus tenure , they have been amplified after Ruto lost legitimacy during Genz protests.
What we are seeing now is the fact anything which can weaken Ruto is being used . Rightly so , because he lost legitimacy to lead Kenya , made mistakes at the start and continued making mistakes . Ruto will not be able to recover from this. He entered presidency on the platform of doing away with Dynasties and promoting hustlers he has done the opposite , when was the last time you heard him even mentioning the name hustlers ?
