Bloomberg is reporting that concerns that Kenya is heading toward default are ramping up as the market seeks to understand how the $2B Eurobond maturing in 2024 will be repaid:

If it is only Uhuru alone at fault for Kenya's financial woes, then Ruto would for sure go after him. You forget, Ruto enriched himself immensely in the last 10 years. So he is more of the problem than the solution. Expect nothing from Ruto in terms of investigating the looting spree that took place in the last 10 years.

Ruto did not just let Kenyattas off the hook, he let himself off the hook.
