PPP's & Electricity Prices
« on: January 27, 2023, 02:53:30 PM »
Seems like the Grand Mullah is moving away from Ruto on this issue of corruption. Were people's expectations too high? or what is Ruto's plan? or should I say, Ndii's plan to address the rising cost of electricity? You can't have manufacturing with these electricity prices.

H.E Ruto must tell the Kibaki oligarchs that HUSTLERS matter!</p>&mdash; Ahmednasir Abdullahi SC (@ahmednasirlaw) <a href="?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">January 26, 2023</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

KPLC is totally corrupt. It is not even hidden anymore. How come they give away free power and then charge everyone else high rates???

These are common sense approaches we need. I have never understood some of these nonsense for govt agencies crying of revenues.

There are 800k idle meters that were connected in pursuit of universal electricity connection.  This is subsidized by paying customers.  Turkana power isn't being evacuated and kplc is paying for it www.businessdailyafrica.com/bd/economy/idle-turkana-wind-costs-taxpayers-sh18bn-3506966%3fview=htmlamp . Cumulatively this is what drives cost of electricity.  Instead of fixing this problem the kplc just raises prices.

So this is a very common thing???
What a messed up business
Is there a regulator that can deny increases so as to force PLC to fix the mess?
THis affects everyone because businesses need pay reasonable rates to make a profit.
