Who saw Mercy Cherono's 3,000 m win tonight?

She beat Dibaba the younger roho safi. And she was looking pweeeety even on the track!  :) She's set to be a star, hope she can market herself well. Don't know about her English, but she has the looks and talent to really make herself stand out. I wish her the best.

Mercy should make hay while she can.  She can sell Nikey.  I still think Dibaba jr is way better looking.  Dibaba snr is not so great looking.

I think Dibaba snr grew up in hardship.  Her money in turn helped raise jnr who grew up in better circumstances.

That said.  Merlene Ottey should hang her boots.  We all love her and she has had a great career.  At 54 she should hang her boots from top flight competition.

Wow, 54! Sorry, but I have nothing but respect for that negress!  :) Go, sista! She will not be growing old anytime soon, nature be damned...

I completely protest (the downward comparison of Cherono with Dibaba). From what I saw last night, Cherono is one of those ngals who look fly even when veins are popping in the heat of the last minute dash. Dibaba is very pretty too!  :)

Oops!
Kababe, pole I hadn't seen your post before posting mine.
I've been busy watching women's tennis and volleyball. yes, volleyball on BeinSport.

I am now venturing into Nipate.
I did watche Brussels meet jana. I watched it live.

Cherono is awesome. With 300 to go, I thought she was out of it. Then, something happened. I was screaming.

She is having a wonderful season and next year at the World Championships in Beijing, I hope she crushes Defar. She probably will.

Vivian will be back too. It'll be fun.

Me too.

She seems to have run herself 'to the ground' and fared badly in her last two or three races. I think she needs some rest.

She'll be back next year. She has a vicious kick.

Thanks for the post.

LOL! Me too! I had given up. I kept complaining that she was too far behind throughout the race until it reached that dash and she just overtook all. We were all screamin.

I think Cherono is too confident.
it seems that she trusts her kick.
