Luos from slums always attend Baba event and get excited. It's hardly an indicator of anything. In fact Moi use to win - while scoring little in Nairobi. Museveni does the same...he sweep villages
Ruto indeed has run a gritty, tough, hard-nosed grassroot campaign last seen during Moi era. Moi was able to survive the 90s despite tribal maths no favouring him plus poor economy by campaigning deep in villages. Village people are easy to impress - if you visit them in their villages - they know you care about them.
Ruto is about to be rewarded for his hardwork. I recall seeing a video of women protesting in Kiambu that some chief wanted to take their ids or force them to vote Raila. Their main ARGUMENT - RUTO HAD BEEN TO THEIR VILLAGE VIWANDANI - RAILA NOPE.
Anyway go back to 2017 Ruto improved Jubilee from 50.5% to 54.4% - by same campaign strategy. Raila despite getting maDVD backing only improved 1%.
Hardwork pays. And Tuesday you will see it. Raila will regret never working hard enough to win PORK. Kalonzo already has admitted he wished he knew

Ruto strategy if you can discern is MOISQUE - he goes for many small rallies - doing 12 rallies per day. Ruto has been to almost every village in GEMA, Western, Coast, Ukambani.
Raila is still stuck with few major rallies in the same stadias - election after election - preaching to the same converted people - most of the time - they are actually urban LUOS in Mombasa, Bungoma, Kakamega, Kericho, name it - attending his rallies.Apart from the optics such mega rallies bring - they have always fallen short - to win election - and if Raila had changed strategy when he was younger - he would have won PORK.
