If you check Kericho and compare to meru - dont you even feel ashamed to say such things.  We have always been okay - even in pre-colonial period - because we got some of best land in kenya - and had large land sizes. Nandis & Keiyo too. That is why you dont see whole lots of our people in Nairobi or Mombasa slums.

I am told again by my uncle there is part of meru where people buy used blankets and mattresses in market places.

The only half decent place in Meru is mostly imentis - and part of Tigania. The rest is like ukambani - vita ya ngamia na ngombe - dry desolate.
