This kind of judgment shows a judiciary ready to deal with graft; And send a very strong message to the corrupt -you're likely to rot in jail because the fine could be impossible

Suddenly UDA is clean - Judiciary has no qualms discharging Linturi of all court judges now that the System has flipped. In this season Jubilee is where thugs reside Kimunya & Waluke. The govt wants a strong opposition but Jubilee must find a way to join KK asap otherwise more skeletons will come out the closet. By the way this is how bigwigs disappeared when Moi came to power. They quietly faded away without Moi as a person directly lifting a finger against them.

The courts are the ones to get the thugs out of circulation. We can't keep blaming voters who just tick the boxes.

This is just proof of what everyone knew about capture of even the judges. They were getting threats/visits from DCI, NSIS and calls from Harambee House.
Hasla has shown all intentions to let police and judges to work. Nothing shows he will protect thugs in Kenya Kwanza.

A lot of sitting governors and former governors will fall too, and I bet some from KK will be used as examples so that Azimio will not scream of favouritism.

Why then nominate people with court cases to the cabinet?

Exactly - Judiciary should avoid trying corruption like it's a murder case - the standard is lower than beyond reasonable doubt. As long as we keep few such serious conviction and ARA does it job - we can keep corruption on check - get many scared.

Are they corruption or abuse of office cases? If you have assault case does that mean you can never be in gov.
If someone is being tried for corruption or abuse of office - yes Chapter Six kicks in.
But we cannot codemn people being tried for other offences that have no bearing to their holding public office.
Why then nominate people with court cases to the cabinet?

Told you UDA is "clean". Wake me up when the first Kenya Kwanza  bigwig gets convicted. It will be another stint of 10 years where Judiciary remains captured by the system that has only switched sides.

Where is evidence that KK has ordered this done.
Most cases against KK had no merit.

I expect many of them to fall on their own weight or lack thereof

Ruto already informed his family and relatives should they get mentioned or even involved in minor corrupt cases; they will spend decades in jail. In this case, even using his name to get favors is part of corruption. I think Kenya will see the end of corruption as we know it. Even UDA folks like Didmus Barasa may end up in jail. Judiciary needs to be independent, impartial, and severe in fighting corruption. I think lifting Kenya's economy involves fighting corruption severely. I pray he succeed on all fronts!

I schooled with Grace's son. he was such a lazy guy. never wanted to work. he got jailed twice for driving under influence and driving uninsured vehicles. he had a car that only moved 3 months of the year. mathafaka would sleep hungry because working was too much for him. every weekend he would go to NJ to leech off oyugis sons. he later became a hobo and was squatting at African Bank director kids house for almost a year. it was a walking distance to university. he was so miserable that when he graduated he took a flight that same afternoon and left for kenya. his mum was paying for his fees. a grown man that was really very immature. I see him on social media with really old suits. seems he is still smoking bangi. he owes me 300 dollars which if we take inflation should be around 12000 dollars. fuck you steve. no wonder your mother ended up stealing to take care of your lazy ass

The courts already bolted with Maraga decision. Then ruBBIsh. The cases which have been clogging court systems must be making the new judges angry as cash runs out for the culprits.

Financial independence means more judges - more courts, the Koome 3-year deadline will become shorter not only for these big cases but cases all over the country impoverishing people.

With presidential goodwill police and DPP also expected to do a thorough job.  Kenyans win.
