That aside, yes Africans should be a bit more strategic. And that starts with the realization of just how hopeless we are as separate tiny poor countries and trying to function more as a unit.
I agree they blundered. But those sanctions are knee-capping. They don't even have Somalia's shot as long as they're in place. That govt will change, sooner or later, but the people are the only ones paying for sanctions.
And absolutely, strategic unity on international stage is the only muscle we have. Uhuru used it for his personal reasons before, seriously wounding ICC. They should surely do it for a genuine cause like this one, affecting the entire population of ZIM and neighboring countries. Poor ZIMs in SA are an important contributing factor to their occasional xenophobic erruptions.
