Cyrpo shietters will use it to sell their virtual currency.
I think kenya is more than ready for digital currency.
Mpesa is already widely accepted.
In Kenya I rarely have any cash
There is really no point for delarue to print hard cash

In Scandinavian countries nobody accepts cash. Digital will force its way through, but am also very sceptical of crypto currency. That is for speculators.

Kenya should remove 1,000 and 500 notes. Inaleta shida ya change bure.
We should only have small coins for small transaction.

Cash is still king in mashinani, plus it would be unconstitutional to deprive the market of physical currency.

CBDC is another hare brained scheme. End result would greater government control - aka tyranny.

We can keep really small notes like 100 shs - but digital money is great for economy - faster transactions - less money laundering - less dirty money - less diseases being spread by dirty notes - less printing cost - zero expenditure on security - with armed cars and police transporting money - less tax evasion - more transparency - more integrated economy - poor people can show they have money without needing a payslip - and get loans -small business can demonstrate cashflow - getting business loans.

The future is digital money - just have your money in m-pesa or bank account - and use phone or card - that too me is digital money. No need for crypto shiet of keeping files and transferring files - if they go virtual currency - then they will be stupid.

There is just need to ban big cash transaction and insist on m-pesa or card payment - and the banking system will keep money in their database
