Whoever their baba will endorse (sell certificate) will get their votes. Mijikenda with 30 percent of Mombasa ought to win but they are too poor and almost subservient to the arabs and swahilis.

Karisa Maitha used to be a member of PTA of our school .
He was the face of anti bara in 1992. When Moi decided to give Said Hemed KANU  Nomination certificate in 1997 he told Moi in his face once Giriama and Gema unite he would win outrightly against swahili ,arabs and Luos. He did win in 1997 and 2002 and went to become a Minister.
Unfortunately Mijikendas being the part of Majority in Mombasa dont even have an MPs seat.
Raila and ODM are misusing them , They should get another Hurricane Maitha to tell them the truth.

Yes until they get someone as brave as Karisa Maitha - they will continue to be subservient. Them and Kambas if they merge can run Mombasa for years - both combined are nearly 50 percent - Just have Mijikenda Governor and Kamba DG. But like Kambas - Mijikenda are spineless. Luos are going to run Mombasa like they did Nairobi - in due course - because Luos do not bow down to anybody except Raila Odinga.

A wake up call soon. Both Shabal and Nasir are regarded as Waarabu. Atleast Joho used to call himself a Digo. If politics go down to the wire and Mijikendas are told they will get self empowerement with one of them as a governor then Raila even if Shahbal or Nasir buys the nomination certificate from Raila it will be a dead deal. Joho gave Raila Millions for Raila to rally the Luo community to vote for him and bar any Luo candidate to oppose him.
