IEBC gazette election date - Azimio bill maybe too late
« on: January 21, 2022, 05:20:28 PM »
The nomination rules have already been submitted and that chapter closed. Now next chapter is resignation of public official. Then party nomination.

Azimio bill if it passes end of this month - the earliest it can be assented and gazetted is 1st week of Feb - that is assuming senate doesnt make any ammendment - otherwise it will go back to combined senate and NA comittee - and harmonization - that will mean March.

And then court cases if people are unhappy.

Raila and his lack of preparedness continues..

Biggest problem is nomination rules have already been submitted. So Key aspect of that ammendment might be too late for IEBC to implement. That is assuming senate will become a conveyor belt.
