Interesting town. Have not visited the place in years. It's amazing what a drone can do.

Don't steal. The Uhuruto Government hates competition.

That place in Giakanja is called Tumus, 5km from nyeri town.  Nyeri town has some of the best residential neighborhoods in Kenya especially Ring Road and Kingongo. The most exciting thing and potentially game changer in Nyeri is Dedan Kimathi University.  The incorporation and utilization of technology from the university is changing the business landscape. There are several small companies that have started recruiting from the university. Basically nyeri is trying to retain as much of educated workforce as possible.

Sleepy place just like Embu. Mwea is kicking shit since the rice farmers peasantry revolution.

You mean Guluvani? Yes, that town has exploded after full liberalization of the rice industry thanks to Alfred Nderitu former Mp in 2000s. The town is also a highway/ transit town, just like kenol in Muranga or Chaka in Nyeri.

Yeah from 7minutes - I see nice runda like estate - but generally the town appear shaggy for a former provincial HQ - appear informal business are all over unlike most towns in kenya.

I'd rate Meru town high though I have not been to both. Nanyuki definitely growing to be a nice town like Nakuru.

Kericho is smaller but way cleaner and organized than Nyeri. I think governor really need to work on modernizing the town - but it also good to let informal traders thrive. I have seen Karatina and was suprised by it's size.
