Politically yes of course. Ruto has needed Uhuru since 2002. Long before Ocampo - I predicted in 2008 - just after PEV - after Sagana (Ruto had then lost hope in Raila as pathway to PORK)- that Ruto would deputize Uhuru and go for PORK. Ocampo came in 2010.

Ruto and Moi saw in Uhuru mt kenya entry way back in 2001 - and they could use him as young turks - to enter leadership post Moi era.

Ruto see Uhuru this way - he sees a drunkard who can be sold in Mt kenya and can become a bridge to Kenya PORK - coz mt Kenya vote basket is huge. It worked for Ruto -until recently when drunkard decides to go rogue.

Uhuru see Ruto - as shagmodo rural boy without pedigree trying to measure up to them by overstealing but who is very good in politics and can do the hardwork

Just want to make sure I understand you correctly. Uhuru and Ruto never needed each other in the past?
