Precisely.A powerful military that is already engaged in civilian activities easily take power whenever there is political crisis. Imagine in 2007 - they would have used the excuse of PEV - to take over power. Or if they get killed in Somali - they can claim politicians are not supportive - and take power.
Uhuru problem is simple. He doesn't know how to run anything. All his life - everything been done for him. Ruto was running things - waking up 5 am - and running gov till late night. When he dumped Ruto - and hired Matiangi it backfired - coz Matiangi was sabotaged by fellow CS - and could not, therefore, supervise and coordinate gov. Uhuru was now left with aging, tired and sickly Kinyua - and that isn't working too.
Therefore the military is becoming attractive to the lazy bone - but he is endangering our civilian democracy. To be precise it started from West Gate....this military encroachment...they claimed that civilian were letting Alshabaab in..and making their life hard in Somalia..so they took over immigration. Then they were allowed to come to Nairobi at night and provide security. Now they have taken over Nairobi. KMC. Next - maybe even KTDA.
Next year all these military if they don't take power - should a political crisis occur - they need to be returned back to the barracks.
