This is why basically the hustler movement is taking root, hustle, invest and become something. It’s not socialism but the govt will avail money to the hustlers to lead the economy. It can be done with low interest loans on viable projects, this is actually a sellable manifesto. Ruto is ahead here, the rest has to catch up. By the way, if Ruto is elected, it’s democracy, I will live with it. I lived under four years of traumatic Trump presidency and 24yrs of Moi country rape. As an individual, I will actually be fine. I made more money during Trump’s presidency, there is always a silver lining.

Politics draws something in pschology called Siege mentality.
Mt Kenya has it against Raila , this was build in Kibakis era and has been transfered to the young generation who are voters now.
Just like passion on religion no one has been able to explain how it works. A section of the brain which deals with identity.
People like using U.S. as an example of democratic state , but frankly speaking Majority of republicans vote for republicans simply because of identity same with democrats.
In Kenya since 2005  it has been Pro Raila Coalition Vs Anti Raila Coalition.
Anti Raila Coalition has won the past 4 elections because of seige mentality , when they see Raila on ballot it motivates them to wake up early and vote anti Raila.
 And post 2022 it will shape out as Pro Ruto Vs Anti Ruto. Not unless Raila opts not to retire from politics.
