Mobutu would sooner sell his kids than surrender any loot.

https://www.standardmedia.co.ke/nairobi/article/2001405237/battle-for-weston-starts-as-court-rules-against-ruto

“The application dated June 16, 2020, is hereby dismissed, costs in the course,” ruled Justice Eboso.

Weston argued that KCAA ought to abandon its quest to recover the land and instead accept payment.

In the case, Ruto’s stand for payment was a departure from the initial defense that the hotel was the legitimate owner of the property.

This is an interesting rational argument as we seek a fresh start for corruption just like the Waititu move the river one.

Just like demolitions in the slums, Railways land on basis it is 'public' land, brings up the question of who is the public? Are occupants, employees and even the 'grabbers' lesser Kenyan public than KR, KCAA, Nairobi Water especially where government officials okayed the developments?
