It appears you have a problem with China pollution. China lead in green renewable energy. The amount of solar power alone is staggering. 99 % of all electric buses in world are in China. Most chinese trains are now electric fast speed- US has ZERO high speed electric speed. China is still a developing country but what it's doing it staggering. US has a few bright spots but China is doing it in massive scale. Chinese hardwork is paying. Chinese non-religiosity is paying. Chinese are taking over the world..in whatever tech you can think about.
Wake up. If it's pollution - China is dealing with head on.
Not me, Chinese citizens are. In fact the CCP's biggest fear is opposition to its rule stemming from its mishandling of the environmental catastrophe caused by its misguided push for industrialization at any cost, ignoring environmental, social or ethical aspects. Chickens are coming home to roost. They are
exporting dumping their poison on the rest of the world, especially Sub Saharan African where governance is weak and the political elite are susceptible to bribery. Remember the poisoned Tilapia saga a while back in Kenya, how the Chinese arm twisted Uhuru to rescind his directive to protect Kenyans.
Those green tech stats you posted should be taken with a grain of salt. China is known for inflating its stats, they also foolishly incentivize overcapacity in their industries in a myopic push to pad their GDP, they then proceed to dump the excess capacity on the rest of the world, steel is a special case. The rest of the world retaliates with tariffs and what not.
High speed rail and those gimmicks impress unsophisticated peasants as usual. China has serious issues. The primary reason I'm betting against it is its repressive political system, eventually, one way or the other, the dam breaks, citizens rise up, undemocratic systems where people have no buy in are very unstable. Just look at Ethiopia, all the good work they did will be undone in a few months because their political system was built on quicksand. Museveni likewise, even Kagame will not last. Magufuli huffs and puffs but TZ is still stuck in gear 1. The despots you love won't leave any legacy worth speaking of. Liberal systems trump repressive systems.
