Mass extinction
« on: June 15, 2020, 11:35:14 PM »
For the longest time, I assumed US didn't have Grasshoppers in the east where I live. However, I am finding that most of these insects just dissappeared from the radar and it only now that scientist have quantified that we have lost 42% of all instects populations. This became very pronounced when Long Distance drivers would start wondering why there were no bugs splattered all over the vehicle after driving for hundred of miles. Most old drivers knew that after driving for so long you would be scrapping bugs off the vehicle body and windshield

I think we are really fucked. We have fucked the ecosystem in way that a quick collapse may be triggered without a lot of warning

is your experience the same?
