With all my 30yrs political punditry - surely I know if anybody is selling Raila in central - he has no ground. I don't need an opinion poll for that. This handshake/BBI has been on for 2.5yrs now..with zero traction on the ground.

But if Uhuru change course - and start selling something else - he could get a listening. But now he is hated principally because of Raila. There is nobody GEMA hate than Raila. The Odinga hate-machine in GEMA is generation-long.

Let me borrow your 30yr trash record... what just happened to Ruto numbers in Jubilee and parliament? Sorry I forgot the explanation - it was too cryptic - explain it to a 10 year old.

When i talk of Gema grassroot support AM 100% SURE of what am talking about. And if it changes, i will be the FIRST to admit. I openly say if elections are held today, i would vote Ruto for President (if other choice is Raila/Uhuru/Kalonzo). That i admit readily. I also admitted that Uhuru was not playing Raila but was SERIOUS in getting Ruto out and he himself not retiring. I also admitted that GEMA Elite around Uhuru FEAR Ruto more than they fear Raila and believe Raila would be better for their interests (which assertion i totally don't agree with).

Am now gauging how their FINAL PUSH to contain Ruto will prosper. Some of us are now banned from some commentary/talk done on invites and we are just heckler on the fringes. From now on THEY WANT ONE VOICE SUPPORTING MUTONGORIA. Then it is expected Uhuru will soon open-up the country so that they can earnestly start BBI meetings but FIRST THEY CLEAN NATIONAL ASSEMBLY. Then Uhuru will HIT THE GROUND and EXPLAIN to the PEOPLE WHY HE CANNOT TRUST HIS DEPUTY. If Uhuru had "watu wa ground" he wouldn't be expending a lot of force and energy to coerce and intimidate to show he's in charge. This is a person who "watu wa ground" demanded he run for President even before he had held a single campaign meeting. Right now even residents of Gikambura cannot give him MCA seat. 

Let's see whether their tactics will work. But honestly, i foresee lots of trouble should Raila/Uhuru continue on this path. The sooner they fall out the better.
